George W. Allen's Obituary
George W. Allen, 90, WWII Army Veteran, died Saturday, September 19, 2009.
Mr. Allen was born July 20, 1919. He proudly served his country during WWII for the United States Army. He was the founder and president of Allen East Side Tool Company for over 46 years. He was the beloved husband of the late Norma nee Ruud.
He was the loving father of Dinah Stanley Kozina; Michael Allen Gay Hawley; and Linda Thomas; Cherisherd grandfather of Edward, Rage, Richard, Jamie, Justin, Andrew, Evan, Zachary and Mackenzie; devoted great grandfather of Cody, Kara, Emily, Piper, Jack, Timothy and Scarlett; adoring brother of the late Joann the late Bill Danner; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his beloved wife.
Visitation Thursday 2 – 9 pm at the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 9000 W. 151st Street, Orland Park, IL , and Saturday 12 – 12:30 pm at the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home, 2801 N. Monroe St., Decatur, IL. Burial will take place in Friends Creek Cemetery with Military Honors by the Macon County Honor Guard.
