George E. Taylor's Obituary
George E. Taylor, 88, of Phoenix Arizona, formerly of Argenta died on Monday November 11, 2002 in Phoenix.
Graveside service will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday November 16, 2002 in Friends Creek Cemetery, Argenta. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 P.M. Friday in J. J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home.
George was born in Argenta on January 10, 1914 the son of George F. and Nellie Dickey. George lived most of his life in Decatur before moving to Arizona where he has been for the last 30 plus years. He worked as a union pipefitter and welder. George was a sixty year member of local 469, Lifetime Shriner and 32nd Degree Mason.
Surviving are his daughters: Nancy Aiton of Phoenix, AZ.; Carol ”Suzie” Wisely of Topeka, KS.; son, Steven Taylor of California; grandchildren: Dusty, Justin, Abijah, and Tracy; sister, Mary Mendenhall Wesley of Decatur; nephews: Roger Mendenhall of Colorado Springs, CO; and David Hambrect of Decatur; niece, Caroline Flesner of Minooka, IL..
His parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters preceded him in death.
