George H. Thompson II 68 of Decatur, IL died 2:00 P.M. Saturday May 17, 2003 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Memorial Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M. Tuesday May 20, 2003 in J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Foundation.
George was born on June 7, 1934 in Marissa, IL the son of Maurice Seton and Ethel Mae Tinker Thompson. He worked for 25 years at Wagner Castings as an electrician. He also owned and operated George's Electrical Service and was an instructor at Richland Community College. He married Roma Lewis on April 7, 1955 in Chester, IL.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, son, George H. Thompson III, daughters, Debbie Davis, Linda and husband John Cambruzzi, and Thenda Thompson all of Decatur, IL; Patricia Sarkis of Australia; sisters, Jeanette Therien and Anita Thompson, brother, Maurice Thompson all of California; 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
His parents preceded him in death.
