Georgia Ann Johnson's Obituary
Georgia Ann Davis Johnson, 55, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by her family.
Georgia was born February 22, 1961, of Gunnison, MS, daughter of John Calmese and Rosie Lee (Davis) Wright. She worked for Steak’n Shake for over 30 years and Wagner Castings for many years.
She is survived by her two children, Brandon Johnson and Shally Rivers; her father, John Calmese; three grandchildren, La’kyiah Johnson, Sha’Niya Walters and Bryan Walters, Jr.; nine sisters, Shally Stitt, Gloria Jackson, Lisa Edmond, Veronica Perry, Loretta Calmese, Franshia Calmese, La’Shondril Calmese, Tonya Calmese and Shavon Calmese; and a host of nieces and nephews, two of which were especially close to her, Quartus Stitt and Montague Stitt.
She is preceded in death by her mother.
The family would like to give a special thank you to DaVita Dialysis Center, Dr. Atluri, Dora Lee and to all of her friends, family and close loved ones for all of their love compassion and support during her life here on earth.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Georgia Johnson will be 12 noon Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10a.m. to 12 noon Wednesday before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
