Georgia Lea Korthals' Obituary
Georgia Lea Korthals, 73, of Decatur, IL passed away November 27, 2022 at her residence.
Georgia was born November 28, 1948 in Peoria, IL the daughter of John William and Betty Maxine (Moke) Walters, Sr.
Georgia worked as a cashier and food handler for St. Mary’s Hospital. She attended Heartland Community Church and was a member of Women’s League at the Salvation Army.
Surviving are her son, Mark Painter, of Decatur, IL; siblings, Nancy Benson of Decatur, IL, Vicky Campbell of Oswego, IL, John W. Walters, Jr, of Decatur, IL; grandchildren, Joe Brown, Jacob Brown, and Dalton Painter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Kathy Gaither; and granddaughter, Destiny Painter.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Monday, December 5, 2022 at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from noon till 1:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mt. Gilead Cemetery.
