Gertrude Hitchcock's Obituary
In the beautiful Sacremento Mountains of New Mexico, surrounded by her family here on earth, Gertrude left peacefully to be with her family in heaven.
She was born June 29, 1923 to George W. and Ida Gordon Huston in Decatur, and lived most of her life here.
Gertrude leaves behind to celebrate her life a daughter: Donna Donald Seidel of Cloudcroft, New Mexico, four grandchildren; Danika Seidel and fiancÃ?© Mike Mulliken, Benjamin Seidel and fiancÃ?©e Laura Holland, Tara Barnett and husband Charles, and DJ Seidel, and four great grandchildren; Kaiya and Chaim Seidel, and Chance and Chase Barnett.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, two brothers, beloved first husband; Norman Cook, second husband; Donald Hitchcock, and one granddaughter, Melani Seidel.
Graveside Interment rites will be conducted Friday March 31, 2006 in Macon County Memorial Park at 10 am with the Very Rev. James O'Shea officiating. Memorials may be given to the Decatur Animal Shelter. Moran & Goebel Funeral Home is assisting the Hitchcock family with these arrangements.
