Lit a candle in memory of Gilberta Jean Friend
Very sad to see this news. Jean and her family welcomed my mother and aunt (who were Jean's cousins) into their home when they moved to Decatur in the 1940's. My mother never forgot their hospitality and stayed close with Jean all of her life. I remember Jeannie (as we called her) as a kind and generous person and she will be missed.
