Glen Robert Hilton's Obituary
Glen Robert Hilton, 74, of Decatur, died Tuesday, January 1, 2008 in his home.
Glen was born June 13, 1933, in Crane, MO, the son of Barry and Verla Wildman Hilton. He worked at Sunshine Biscuit, PPG, Dean's Ice Cream, and AGA Welding Supply until he retired in 1993. He served in the Navy RMPO 2 Communications during the Korean War. He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, V.F.W., K.W.V.A., American Legion for 39 years serving as past County Commander, 40 & 8 Vouture 287 for 47 years serving in the office of State Aid de Camp, and Moose Club for 20 years. Glen married Dolores M. Hedenberg on June 22, 1956.
Surviving is his wife, Dolores of Decatur; daughters: Laura Steve Boyd of Oreana, and Susan Michael Dicks of Pawnee; grandchildren: Andrew Summer Boyd, Ashley Boyd, and Amanda Dicks; sisters: Mary Ina Greg Harrell of Kansas, and Annabell Hilton of New Hampshire; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Ann.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm Thursday, January 3, 2008 in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home and Friday, January 4, 2008, one hour prior to the funeral service at 10 am, in the Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Mt. Zion. Burial with military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard will be in Macon County Memorial Park. Memorials: Macon County Honor Guard.
