Gloria Jean Grandfield's Obituary
Gloria Jean Grandfield, 76, of Decatur, died on Tues, Mar. 20, 2007, in her home surrounded by her loved ones.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be 10 am Fri, Mar. 23, 2007, in Tabernacle Baptist Church; Dr. Pat Pajak officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Thursday in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park with the Ceremonial Flight Home. Memorials gifts may be made to Cats Only Veterinary Clinic, Decatur.
Mrs. Grandfield was born Barbara Dean Miller on Dec. 13, 1930, in Decatur, the daughter of Robert and Ruby Miller. She was adopted at 15 month’s by Clarence C. and Minnie E. Grandfield. She retired from Cats Only Veterinary Clinic in 1992. She also worked for Kroger, Venture, and recently Wal-mart. She married Virgil L. McCammack Dec. 14, 1947. She then married Eddie J. Grandfield July 3, 1973 who preceded her in death.
Surviving are her daughters: Vicki Hill of Decatur, Kathleen Jim Wells of Moroa; step-son, Edward Kent Grandfield of Smithboro; grandchildren: Lora Scott Allen, and Nick Todd all of Decatur, Lisa Christ of NC, Stacey John Wenskunas of Forsyth, Angie Brandon Maddox of Springfield, Leslie Brad Hornaday of Tuscola, and Lindsay Hill of Decatur; great-grandchildren: Jessica, Johnny and Jennesa Wenskunas, and Zachary Allen; step-great grandchildren: Nick and Heather Allen; special friend, Ron Moyer of Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her husband, five brothers and five sisters.

Jean was dearly loved by all who knew her. She was a wonderful Mother and had a special gift with animals that she loved to take care of. Dear Lord, hear and bless thy beasts and singing birds and guard with tenderness small things that have no words.
