Gloria Jean Vording's Obituary
Decatur-Gloria Jean (Allen) Vording, 67, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Gloria was born November 30, 1947 in Effingham the daughter of Don and Freda (Woods) Allen. She was previously employed with Mueller Company and was the owner/operator of Create-A-Craft for over twenty years. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed crafts, traveling, scrapbooking, camping, and boating. She married David Lee Vording July 10, 1965. He preceded her in death December 25, 2014.
Gloria leaves behind her daughter Linda Beiler of Princeton, mother Freda Allen of Decatur, brother James Allen and wife Jann of New York, sister Judith Stine and husband Micheal of Decatur, and grandchildren Jessica, Jarod, Shelby, and Jaden.
Gloria was reunited in Heaven with her husband, father, daughter Deborah Sue Klaus, son-in-law Larry Klaus, and sister Barbara Allen.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Heritage Health and DMH for all of their loving care.
Services to celebrate Gloria’s life will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be North Fork Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family in c/o Linda Beiler.
