Glorianne Moran's Obituary
Decatur – Glorianne Moran, 98, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Imboden Creek Senior Living and Rehab in Decatur, IL.
Glorianne was born on October 28, 1927, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Ambrose C. and Stella (Busch) Moran. Glorianne attended St. Patrick Grade School and graduated from St. Teresa High School in 1946. She later attended Brown’s Business College in Decatur.
Glorianne was a faith-filled, loving woman. She took care of her nieces and nephews for many years while they were growing up; she later cared for her father in the last years of his life. Her loving service to others defined her life.
She is survived by her nieces: Connie (widow of Tony) Lorenz and Lisa (widow of Glen) Whitcomb; seven great nieces and nephews; seven great-great nieces and nephews; and her cousin Carol Moran.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ambrose C. and Stella (Busch) Moran; two brothers: Ambrose C. “Buzz” (and wife, Colleen) Moran Jr. and Francis Joseph Moran; nephew Kevin (and wife, Diane) Moran.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am, Friday, May 1, 2026, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Decatur, IL. There will be no visitation.
Glorianne’s family would also like to thank her good neighbors, Jan and Dewey Akins, for their years of loving and caring support. They brightened her life in so many ways.
