Grace D. Bresnan's Obituary
Decatur – Grace D. Bresnan, 87, of St. Louis, MO, passed away Friday, March 20, 2020, with her family at her side.
Grace was born January 6, 1933, in Moultire County, IL, the daughter of Edmond Bryan and Chalice Vivian (Ground) Bresnan. A lifelong Catholic, Grace graduated from St. Teresa High School in 1951 and moved to St. Louis, MO. There she worked in the loan department at Commerce Bank for 40 years before retiring. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan who loved to play BINGO and visit the Casino’s. A great cook, Grace was known for her chicken and noodles, cherry pie and mashed potatoes.
Grace is survived by her sister, Alice (Larry) Sartori of St. Louis, MO; and 25 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Dr. Paul Bresnan and Robert Bresnan; sisters: Virginia Grant, Margaret Craycroft, Barbara Alexander and Jackie Butcher; nephews: Bob Craycroft, Jerry Bresnan and Danny Bresnan; nieces: Fran Riley, Pam Zimmerman, Cathy Jackson and Eileen Milligan.
Private family graveside services will be held at St. Isidore Cemetery, Bethany, IL. A formal visitation and memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
