Grace Lillian Martin's Obituary
Grace Lillian Martin, 91, of Decatur passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012 in Lincoln Rehabilitation Center.
Grace was born on May 20, 1920 in Decatur the daughter of James I. and Sophia E. Knapp Easley. She had worked as a Laboratory Technician for Pfile’s Photo Service. She was a member of Mound Chapel Church of God and the Quilters Guild. She spent 31 winters at Bibleville Campground and Retirement Village in Alamo, TX. She married John R. Martin on November 2, 1940 in Missouri. He preceded her in death on August 9, 2010.
Surviving are her sons, Paul W. Martin Janet of Decatur; David I. Martin of Pharr, TX; grandchildren, Phillip S. Martin Amy; Dana S. Jennings; Tony Martin; John Martin; Kelly Martin; and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Sophia Butts, and two brothers, Glenn Easley and Charles Easley.
Service to celebrate Grace’s life will be 11:00 am Thursday, March 15, 2012 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park. Memorials are suggested to Mound Chapel Church of God.
