Grant S. Wright's Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Grant Samuel Wright on November 19, 2025 in Decatur, Illinois. Grant Samuel Wright was born June 5th, 1986 in Springfield, Illinois. He was a N.D.T. Technician, doing weld & metal testing for most of his adult life. Grant had many things that he loved. There’s too much to name them all but here are the big ones: music festivals, art, legos, Star Wars, guitars, boating with friends and family, fishing, watching alien documentaries, diving deep into all the random things that sparks his interest, spending time with his nephews, friends and family, traveling, comedy shows, and so much more. He was a huge foodie, loving all types of cuisine, being a chef at home, from fine dining to hole-in-the-wall gems. He had an infectious laugh that was loved by so many. He was a kind soul, and a great guy that will be missed by all that knew him. He is survived by mother, Bonnie O’Guinn and father Vince Wright; sisters Jessica Wright, Catie Wright, Michelle Giaquenta, Nicolle Faught; brother Christopher Wright; nephews Michael Betancourt, Ruger Brown, Denver Brown, Harrison Wright, Liam Wright, Lennox Wright, Kyelle Giaquenta; special friends Erin Taylor and Gian Francis, and other nieces and nephews.
