H. Maxine Huff's Obituary
H. Maxine Huff, 79, of Decatur, died on Sun. Nov. 28, 2004 in her home.
Services celebrating her life will be 10 a.m. Fri. Dec. 3, 2004 in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home, Rev. Robert Baker officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thurs. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park. Memorials are suggested to: Trinity Church of the Nazarene, Second Church of God or St. John's Hospice.
Maxine was born on Jan. 29, 1925 in Decatur, the daughter of Lum and Viola Kinman Tipsword. She worked as an inspector at Borg Warner York Division before retiring in 1987. Maxine was affiliated with Trinity Church of the Nazarene and the Second Church of God where her father previously served as pastor. Maxine married John Huff on Nov. 26, 1948 and he preceded her in death in 1960. She then married Don Durr in 1963.
Surviving is her daughter, Nancy Edgecombe husband, Steven of Decatur; brothers: Bill Tipsword wife, Virginia of Galesburg; Lum Tipsword wife, Mary of Decatur; sisters: Frances Trimmer of Mt. Sterling, KY; Nancy Donovan husband, John of Veedersburg, IN; grandchildren: John Baer wife, Krys of Decatur; Anthony Edgecombe wife, Kedra of Bloomington; great grandchildren: Brock and Blaine Baer; many nieces and nephews.
Her parents and two husbands preceded her in death.
