Harlan F. Bunker's Obituary
Harlan F. Bunker, 87, of Decatur passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 in his home.
Harlan was born on October 25, 1926 in Decatur the son of Whitey and Katherine (Ferguson) Bunker. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He worked for C.B. & Q. and retired from Wagner Castings. He married Nadine Johnson on November 29, 1947 in Decatur. She preceded him in death on March 14, 2011.
Surviving are his sons, Steve Bunker (Dianne Malley) of Tobyhanna, PA; Pat Bunker (Cindy) of St. Charles, IL; daughters Mary Anne Hopper (Dave) of Waterloo, IL; Nancy Koester (George) of Wildwood, MO; brother, Jack Weber of Fountain Valley, CA; sister-in-law, Karen Lawrence of Peoria, IL; nieces, Lisa Lawrence and Jackie Weber; nephew, Mark Weber; special friend, Susie Flynn (T.R.) of Decatur; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Harlan’s life will be 11 AM Monday, March 24, 2014 in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with Rev. Rick Weltin as Celebrant. Visitation will be 10-11 AM Monday in the church. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
