Harold Eugene Hudson's Obituary
Harold Eugene Hudson, 81, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away April 3, 2026, in his daughter’s home surrounded by family.
Harold was born in Decatur on June 6, 1944, the son of Sylvester and Lucille (Taylor) Hudson. He married the love of his life, Karen Jones, on December 29, 1968, in Decatur. He served proudly in the US Navy. He later owned his own painting business. He was a park police officer and served as an auxiliary officer and assistant chief of Maroa. Harold loved resale shopping and hanging out at coffee shops with several special friends.
Harold is survived by his children Lisa (Hudson Miller) and husband James Drone, and Terry Hott and wife Kim (Spicer Smith); beloved sister Beverley (Hudson) Kinney; grandchildren Krystle (Miller) Belmontes and fiancé Timothy Greer, Joshua Miller and fiancée Missy Lookabaugh, Robin Cory (Smith) and husband Austin, Shawn Hott, Kirstyn (Hott) Durbin and husband Cody, Tyler Hott, and Josiah Hott and wife Sami (Drobena); and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Oliver Hudson and Dwight Hudson, and brother-in-law Jim Kinney.
