Harold "Jug" Kramer's Obituary
Decatur – Harold R. 'Jug' Kramer, 82, of Decatur, died Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Symphony of Decatur.
He was born June 20, 1930, in Decatur, the son of Lawrence and Mary (Eader) Kramer. A member of Ss. James & Patrick Catholic Church, Jug worked as a salesman for Illinois Bearing before retiring. He was a member of Very Rev. Jeremiah J. Murphy Assembly #211, member and past Grand Knight of K of C Council #577, and a member of the Sons & Daughters of Ireland. Jug married Norma L. Wright on August 12, 1950 and she preceded him. Also preceding him were his parents; son, Dick; three brothers, one sister, and two grandchildren: Sarah and Shawn.
Jug is survived by his sons: Dan and wife, Paula Kramer of St. Croix Falls, WI, Jim and wife, Debbie Kramer of Decatur, and John and wife, Carol Kramer of Isanti, MN; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Mass of Christian Burial celebrating his life will be 10 am, Wednesday, March 27, 2013 in St. James Catholic Church, Rev. John Burnette, celebrant. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 5 to 7 pm in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home; vigil prayer service at 4:30 pm. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery, Long Creek. Memorials: Ss. James and Patrick Catholic Church.
