Decatur-Harriett “Kit” Tiger Ehler, 93, of Decatur, passed away Friday, April 22, 2011, at St. Mary’s Hospital with her family by her side.
Services to celebrate Kit’s life will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment with “Flight Home” Ceremony will be at Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Crusaders Church. Kit was born December 31, 1917, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the daughter of Glenn A. and Jane L. Berg Tiger. She was previously employed as a bookkeeper at Field & Shorb, retiring after many years of service. She enjoyed playing cards, antiquing, and spending time with her family. She married William W. Ehler July 6, 1946. He preceded her in death October 4, 1989.
She leaves behind her sons, William “Roger” Ehler and wife Diana of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Wesley H. Ehler and wife Renee of Peoria, and Marshall T. Ehler and wife Donna of Decatur, stepdaughter, Margie and husband Bob Lansford of Pasadena, California, former daughter-in-law Marty Roush Ehler of Normal, grandchildren, Julie Ehler Stone and husband Adam, Scott Ehler, Jonathan Ehler, Hope Ehler, and Jenna Ehler, and great-granddaughter Emily Stone and one on the way.
She was reunited in Heaven with her parents, husband, brother, and sister.
