Harry E. Jimison's Obituary
Harry E. Bud Jimison, 75, of Decatur, IL was called to be with the Lord on March 21, 2010 in Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL.
Graveside services will be held in Macon County Memorial Park at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 25, 2010 conducted by Dr. Wes Feltner and Pastor Chris Veith of Tabernacle Baptist Church where Bud attended. Mike Sullins will sign for the deaf in attendance. Memorial contributions are suggested to Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Harry was born January 4, 1935 at Decatur, IL to Robert L. Jimison, Sr. and Lillian M. Shepard Jimison. He attended Illinois School for Deaf at Jacksonville, IL and worked as a shoe repairman in Springfield before returning to Decatur where he worked for Van Zetti Bakery, Schnepps Associates and Macon County Resources.
He is preceded in death by Carolyn Smelzer Aubert Jimison whom he married on January 7, 1971 in Decatur, Illinois. Surviving him are two daughters, Rene’ Jimison Guyse of Fraser, MI; and Tammy Jimison Faulkner of Rantoul, IL; stepchildren, Rhonda Aubert Hillard and Hope Aubert Dale Bates of Decatur; and Jeff Aubert of Arizona. Also surviving is grandson, Bryon Guyse and step grandchildren, Joseph and David Stone, Jr. He also leaves his sisters, Margaret Morville and Hazel Madden of Decatur.
Many thanks go to Dick Jones, Norma Hart who interpreted for him and helped him in many, many other ways, and his church family at Tabernacle Baptist who also helped him on numerous occasions. Thanks also to DMH nurses and the doctors who attended him during his illness and to all the organizations who helped in his needs. Thanks also to Bill and Kathy Scroggins, neighbors, good friend, Roland Hawkins who helped him out over the years and to Leah Kaiping who took his beloved dog Rusty when he made his move to Eagle Ridge Supportive Care.
