Harvey Ray Howell's Obituary
Harvey Ray Howell, 39, of Decatur, died Tuesday, November 27, 2007, in St. Mary's Hospital.
Harvey was born August 25, 1968, in Salem, the son of Charles H. and Evelyn W. Robertson Howell. He was a self employed construction worker and member of Hillside Bethel Tabernacle. He enjoyed reading, fishing and spending time with family. Harvey married Kathy D. Durbin on January 9, 2005.
Surviving are his wife, Kathy of Decatur; children: Austin, Roy, Josh, and Loraine all of Decatur; brother, Harry Howell of Springfield; sisters: Lillie husband, Charles Kinney of Earlville, Brenda husband, Gary Nix of Salem, and Patricia "Patty" Hutton of Arcola; In-laws: Dave Durbin and Linda Durbin both of Decatur and Robert Craig of Tennessee; sister-in-law, Andrea Durbin and special friend, Robert Nicholson of Macon; brother-in-law, Tim Durbin and special friend, Alberta Banning of Decatur; many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends who loved him very much.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Casner and step-father, Eugene Johnston.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Thursday, November 29, 2007, in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10 am Friday, November 30, 2007, in the funeral home with burial to follow in Boiling Springs Cemetery. Memorials: Harvey Ray Howell memorial fund.
