Hattie Mae Boles' Obituary
Hattie Mae Boles 70 of Decatur departed this life on Monday August 18, 2003 in her home surrounded by her family.
Homegoing services will be 11:00 am Monday August 25, 2003 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home 2801 N. Monroe Street with Elder John D. Foster officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Mrs. Boles was born to the late Almeta Miller and Robert McLin in Stanton, TN on August 6, 1933. She was united in holy matrimony with the late Willie Boles in 1963. They moved to Decatur in 1969. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful servant. She was a member of Miracle Temple Church of God in Christ. She was a dedicated member of the gospel music ensemble " The Community Voices of Praise" and also sang with " The Spiritual Sisters" gospel group.
She leaves to cherish her memories seven children: daughters, Emma Mae J.D. Morris, Hattie Marie Davis, Eva A.C. Ross, Debra Boles, and Willa Boles all of Decatur; sons, O' Neal Sheila Davis and Jimmy Pamela Davis also of Decatur; sisters, Ollie B. Novel and Willie Mae McLin of Dyersburg, TN; brothers Joel McLin and Johnny McElrath also of Dyersburg, TN; 31 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, friend and relatives.
Her parents, husband, three daughters, Dorothy Mae, Dorothy Marie and Castella, a brother, Willie L. McLin, a sister, Idelia Strong, and one grandchild, Janelle Davis, preceded her in death.
