Helen I. Lipka, 80, of Lawton, OK, formerly of Decatur, died Saturday morning, July 21, 2007, in a Lawton, OK.
Helen was born on September 4, 1926, to George and Ruth Oliver Flowers. Helen married Alfred Lipka on December 24, 1948, in Washington, IN. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, canning, going to yard sales, and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Frank Brown of Lawton, OK; sons and daughters-in-law, Allan and Sara of Lincoln, NE, Jim and Anna Lee of Katy, TX, and Michael and Ginny of Urbana, IL; 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brothers: Curtis, Elmer and Robert Flowers.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be 11 am Friday, July 27 2007, in the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home, Rev. Richard Krenzke officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in North Fork Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church Building Fund or Northeast Community Fund.
