Helen W. Ranney Koester's Obituary
Ms. Koester was the daughter of R.W. and Martha Webb Ranney. She worked as personnel manager for Wieboldt’s Department Store in Chicago for several years. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church, St. Mary’s Hospital Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Fifty plus year member of Lamda Tau Delta, and was very active as a volunteer while her kids were attending school. She married Charles J. Koester on February 12, 1943 and he preceded her in death on November 26, 1975.
Surviving are her twin sons: Charles R. Koester and wife Linda of Chicago; William R. Koester, wife Marilyn of Pittsburgh, PA.; daughter, Martha Kay Cockrum, husband Kurt of Seattle, WA.; sisters: Kathryn Rigby of Atlanta, GA.; Lucy Cooper, husband Arnold of Yellville, AR.; grandchildren, Eric and Thomas; step grandchildren, Paul and Michael; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Her parents, husband, sister Frances, and brother Webb preceded her in death.
