Hile June Jackson Jr's Obituary
Hile June Jackson, Jr., 76, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2020, at the VA Hospital in Danville.
Hile was born October 13, 1944, in Decatur, to Hile and Ada (Springfield) Jackson. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1967 to 1969. Hile loved cars and working on them. He worked at Norfolk and Western railway Company for years before his health failed. Hile was a kind man with a caring heart and he had a compassion for others.
He is survived by his son, Larry (April) Hopson; five grandchildren, Jarel Hopson, Dominick Hopson, Charmaine Hopson, Tryman Hopson and Adrian Hopson; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, James Jackson, Clarence Jackson and Robert Jackson; two sisters, Ada Jackson and Barbara (James) Chism; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Glenda Jackson.
Homegoing services to celebrate the life of Hile Jackson, Jr. will be 12 p.m. Thursday, November 12, 2020, at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
