Ilene Irma Seitz's Obituary
Irma 'Ilene' Seitz, 89, Decatur, IL, went to be with her loving Lord & Savior August 25th, 2012 at 12:30 A.M. Visitation will be August 28, 2012 from 1 -2 P.M., funeral service at 2 P.M., at Camp Wilson Foursquare Church, Harristown, IL. Procession to Carlyle Cemetery, Lake Fork, IL, immediately afterward. Memorials may be directed toward the American Cancer Society or Breast Cancer Awareness.
Ilene was one of four children born to Arthur L. Duncan and Eva Belle Munyon July 15, 1923, in Lake Fork, IL. She married John Allen Suzewitz September 2, 1942, and they had 2 children. After his death, she married Sheridan Blankenship, June 17, 1975. Widowed again, she married Ronald Seitz, September 5, 1997.
Ilene was a homemaker. She enjoyed drawing & often submitted fashion drawings for department stores ads before the invention of photography. She also loved to plant flowers, crochet, and to write.
She was a very spiritual woman and a lifetime member of Camp Wilson Foursquare Church in Harristown, IL. She led a faithful Christian life – leading others by example. She was devoted to reading her Bible and studying scripture.
Ilene leaves behind her husband, Ronald Seitz of Decatur, IL, sister, Norma L. Collins (Eugene 'Bud' Collins), Mt. Pulaski, IL, daughters Irma Lynne Mardis, Decatur, IL and Georgia Lea Clark (Richard Leon Clark), Decatur, IL, grandchildren John Thomas 'Tom' Mardis, Chester, IL, Dawn Summers (James Summers), Springfield, IL, Heather Sullivan (partner Tony Nelson), Macon, IL, 6 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, niece Paula Metzger (John Metzger), Decatur, IL, nephew Dave Collins, Mt. Pulaski, IL, a great niece, 3 great nephews, and several great-great nieces & nephews.
Both of Ilene's parents preceded her in death, as did her spouses, John Suzewitz and Sheridan Blankenship, and brothers Ivan Lee Duncan and Robert Wesley Duncan.
