Ina Marie Tatman-Renner's Obituary
Ina Marie Tatman-Renner, 90, of Decatur, died on Sunday, July 2, 2006 in St. Mary's Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial celebrating her life will be 10 am Thursday, July 6, 2006 in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Very Rev. James O'Shea celebrant. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home, vigil prayer service will be at 3:30 pm. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Hospital Skilled Care Unit, Meals on Wheels or St. Teresa High School Education Foundation.
Ina was born on June 7, 1916 in Decatur, the daughter of Michael and Marie Clements Boland. She worked as a secretary for George Huff at the WPA, past States Attorney Basil Greanias and lastly Ina worked as a secretary at St. Teresa High School from 1962-1977. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and Alpha Chi Beta Sorority. Ina married Rex Tatman in May of 1942 and he preceded her in death in 1961. She then married Louis Renner in June of 1969 and he preceded her in death in 1985
Surviving are her children: Tom Tatman and Mandy Jim Davis all of Decatur; step-children: Bill Sandy Renner of Orland Park, John Dianne Renner of Mt. Zion and Lou Ann Johnson of Decatur; grandchildren: Lynne Davis and Ryan Davis; sister and best friend, Margaret Dave Thatcher of Decatur; nephews: Dick Carman Boland, Stan Carol Boland and Mike Boland all of Decatur, Jim Colleen Keyes of Forsyth, Charlie Nancy Boland of Oakley and Dick Ellen Tatman of Madison WI; nieces: Phyllis Russ Stukins, Judy Dick Jacobs and Ann Wolford all of Decatur, Betty Chuck Rice of Myrtle Beach NC, Rita Carl Middendorf of Quincy, Sharon Larry Lavery of Peoria, Jenny Ron Brinkmeyer of Sikeston MO and Susie Jerry Gallagher of Macon; several more great nieces, great nephews and many lifelong friends and neighbors.
Ina was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Rex and Louis; brothers: Clement "Bud" Boland, Paul Boland and Bob Boland. Sisters: Loretta Keyes and Bernice Fournier; nephew, Dave Boland and nieces: Barbara Galka and Loretta "Ditzi" Platzbecker
The family wishes to express our thanks and appreciation to: Dr. G. Patel, Dr. D. Patel, Dr. Hima Atluri, Dr. Victor Eloy, Dr. David Miller, O.D., Dr. Kris Patel, Dr. S. Sinha and everyone on their staffs; Carol, Tammy and the staff at Wabash Railroad Clinic; Mary Kaye Gould, Caren Burns, Fr. James O'Shea, Fr. Joe Molloy, Sr. JoAn Schullian. The care and concern extended to Mom over the years and especially during her recent illness have been heart-warming. Many thanks to all for their thoughtfulness and prayers as well, it has been a great comfort to all of us.
