Jack N. Jay 70 of Decatur died on Tuesday July 8, 2003 in Aspen Ridge Care Center.
Funeral service celebrating his life will be 11:00 am Monday July 14, 2003 in J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be in the North Fork Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Southern Baptist Church.

Jack was born on September 30, 1930 in Decatur, IL the son of Arthur and Bessie Helm Jay. He was retired from Wagner Casting Company. He was U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of the VFW post 99, a lifetime member of DAV Chapter 17, and American Legion Post 120 Effingham. He married Barbara Hays on May 11, 1950 in Macon County she preceded him in death on April 22, 2000.
Surviving are his sons, Jack Jay Jr. of Decatur; daughter, Becky Jay of Decatur; ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
His parents, wife, one son, one daughter, and one brother preceded him in death.
