Jack R. Rogers' Obituary
Decatur-Jack L. Rogers, 89, of Decatur, passed away at 11:50 a.m. Monday, February 11, 2013 at his home.
He was born August 2, 1923 in Benton, Illinois the son of Adlie and Golda (Rice) Rogers. He proudly served his country in the Army Air Corps in the Pacific during World War II. He was the owner/operator of D&R Welding Supply retiring in 2005. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, and Lions Club. He married Toni (Ooton) Haynes July 21, 1972 in Decatur.
He leaves behind his wife Toni, son Jack D. Rogers and wife Karen of Wichita, Kansas, step-son David Haynes and wife Cheryl of Decatur, eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, sister Barbara Matas of Streator, and brother Paul Rogers and wife Marilyn of Jerseyville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, baby sister Patti Rogers, brothers Bill and Jerry Rogers, daughter Ronda Gillarde, and step-sons Denny and John Haynes.
Following Jack wishes he will be cremated and no services are planned. Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
