Jacqueline Yonker's Obituary
Jacqueline (Hoyt) Yonker, 90, died June 9, 2026, at Goldwater Care in Clinton, Illinois. Jackie was born May 2, 1936, in Decatur, Illinois. Daughter of Kenneth E. Hoyt and Ila Marie (Williams) Hoyt.
She was an avid tennis player, golfer, and swimmer in her younger years. She loved music and dancing. She graduated from Stephen Decatur High School in the class of 1954.
After graduation, she married Sam Yonker, the love of her life. They were married November 20, 1954, in St. Thomas Church, Decatur, IL.
Sam and Jackie had four daughters: Sue (Colby) Schwarze of Decatur, IL, Peggy (Lenz) and Jeff of Stuart, FL, Joanie (Jarmay) and Walt of Tequesta, FL, and Cheri of Jupiter, FL; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and great-grandson, Cooper Schwarze.
Jackie was a devoted wife, the most wonderful girl mom, and loving grandmother and great-grandmother to her large family. The homemade noodles you taught us how to make will be continued along with all your other traditions that we loved! We were all lucky to have Jackie! Heaven had a great reunion when she got there!
