James O. Adams' Obituary
James O. Adams, 79, of Lovington, died Tuesday, June 24, 2008 in his home.
Born March 17, 1929, in Edgewood, the son of Dr. I.O. and Eva French Adams, James was a U.S. Army Veteran and member of Lovington First Church of God. He is a retired Pennsylvania Rail Road Agent, landscaper and contractor.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley of Lovington; daughter, Nancy Tim Wright of Orlando, FL; son, Jeffrey Adams of Decatur; four grandchildren, three nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, James K. Adams; his parents, Dr. I.O. and Eva Adams and sisters: Lucille and Helen.
The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 am Friday, June 27, 2008 at the Lovington First Church of God where Pastor Rodney Houser will officiate the funeral service at 10 am. Burial will take place in Jewett Cemetery, Jewett IL.
