James Leroy Belcher's Obituary
Decatur – James Leroy Belcher, 81, of Decatur passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016 in St. Mary’s Hospital E.R.
James was born November 15, 1934, in Decatur, the son of John W. and Marguerite Belcher. An Air Force veteran, James worked as a diesel mechanic at Norfolk & Southern Railroad until retiring in 1987. James married Patricia A. Voyles May 28, 1963 in Chicago.
Surviving is his wife, Patricia of Decatur; daughters: Theresa Belcher and Amy Crutchfield of Decatur; grandchildren: James Leroy, Bryan Lee, Lindsey LeeAnn, Benjamin, Kaleb, Brittany, Kolton, Kierra and Kyla; sister-in-law, Verna (Don) Hoffman; brother-in-law, Reyburn Voyles; faithful companion, NaNa; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents.
Services to celebrate James’ life will be 2 pm, Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home; visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
