James E. Hilliard's Obituary
Decatur- James Hilliard, 81, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
James was born May 13, 1934, in Shelbyville, IL, the son of John and Margaret (McNew) Hilliard. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked as a laborer for many years.
James is survived by his sons, James (Dotty) Hilliard of Decatur, John (Angie) Hilliard of Shelbyville, Robert Hilliard of Tulsa, OK, Randy (Kathy) Hilliard of Fallon, Nevada; daughter, Margaret Morrison of Springfield, MO; brothers, John (Rose) Hilliard of Decatur, David (Jeannie) Hilliard of Sarasota, FL, Donald (Pat) Hilliard Sarasota, FL; sister, Addie McGuire of St. Elmo, IL, eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and a host of extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, brother, and two sisters.
Honoring James wishes cremation will take place at Graceland/Fairlawn Cremation Center.
James will be dearly missed, especially by his granddaughter, Christina Heathcock.
A visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home and Cremation services.
