James H. Nalefski's Obituary
James "Jim" H. Nalefski 75 of Decatur died Monday January 23, 2006 in Manor Care Nursing Home.
Funeral mass will be held at 11:30 am Thursday January 26, 2006 in St. James Catholic Church with Very Rev. James O'Shea as Celebrant. Visitation will be 5-7:00 pm Wednesday in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4:45 pm. in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Macon Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. James Catholic Church Restoration Fund.
Jim was born in Decatur the son of Herbert and Dorothy Connelly Nalefski on March 29, 1930 in Decatur, IL. He was employed in the telephone industry, retiring from A.T. & T. after 34 years of service. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church, the Taylorville rifle and Pistol Club, National Rifle Association, IL State Rifle Association, American Legion Castle William Post 105, Decatur Genealogical Society, and the Knights of Columbus Council 577. He enjoyed genealogy, fishing, hunting, and target shooting. He married Martha G. Coulter in November of 1956 in Decatur she preceded him in death on November 9, 2002.
Surviving are his sons, Michael Nalefski Cheryl of Decatur, IL; J. Kirt Nalefski Jo Ellen of Sarasota, FL; Stephan Nalefski Lori of Naperville, IL; Eric Nalefski Astrid of Andover, MA; Mark Nalefski Mindy of Peoria, IL; daughter, Carrie Nalefski of Danville, IL; sister, Joyce Nalefski of Decatur, IL; and eleven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one sister, Kay Fitzgerald, and two grandchildren.
