James Robert Nihiser's Obituary
James Robert Nihiser age 59 of Quincy formerly of Decatur, passed onto eternal life at 4:35 am November 18, 2003 in the Blessing Hospital of Quincy.
Funeral Services celebrating his life will be 10 am Saturday November 22, 2003 in the Moran and Goebel Funeral Home; Fr. Rick Weltin officiating, where visitation will be from 6- 8 pm on Friday November 21, 2003. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Illinois Veteran's Home in Quincy. James was born in Decatur, on April 22, 1944 the son of Thomas E. and Mary Margaret Andrews Nihiser. He was an Army veteran proudly serving his country during the Vietnam War. He was of the Catholic Faith. He worked as a sheet metal worker for over 30 years for the North folk Western Railroad. He graduated from Macarthur High School.
Those left to remember the good times with James include his brother; Thomas E. Nihiser, Jr of Salinas, California; one niece - Charlotte Nihiser of Salinas, California and one nephew Todd Nihiser of Chicago, Illinois; he will also be missed by several great and caring friends that James held close to his heart.
James was preceded in death by both of his parents.
