James R. Owens Sr.'s Obituary
Niantic - James R. Owens Sr, 80, of Niantic, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025, at HSHS St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, IL.
James was born on September 21, 1944, in Decatur, the son of Luke James Owens and Evelyn (Salsbury) Owens. He attended Riverside Baptist Church and worked as a gas station attendant for many years.
Surviving are his son James R. (wife Teresa K,) Owens Jr. of KY; grandchildren: Christina Nicole Owens and James Luke Owens; sister Kathy Warnick of Niantic; many other relatives and friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents and 3 sisters.
In honor of James' wishes, cremation services will be provided by Graceland/Fairlawn Crematory. There will be no formal service.
