Janice Pauline Fisher's Obituary
Janice P. Fisher, 51, of Oreana, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2009 with family and friends by her side.
Janice Pauline Bush was born February 27, 1958 the daughter of Curtis and Evelyn Bush of Oakley, IL. She married Richard L. Fisher on November 15, 1980 in Monticello, IL, and they settled in Oreana until her death. She was blessed by her two children: daughter, Amy and son, Derick. They meant the world to her.
She loved everyone she met from her children’s schoolmates to her many friends she made throughout her life. She held a close bond to her family so strong that nothing would or could break it. Janice confessed her faith with Pastor Gerald Thompson and found peace at Salem Baptist Church. She loved to help by cooking for all the special events that takes place throughout the year. She talked lovingly about all the “Angels” in her church family. She loved them one and all.
When Derick married, Janice gained a good daughter-in-law in Tiffany Swearingen. That marriage produced a “new man” in her life who took over her heart. Colin was who kept her going through the toughest of times during her illness. Her love for him was incredible. Her brother Jim and his wife Arlene were a daily help and comfort to her and were always there to assist her.
With great sadness Janice leaves behind her husband, Rick; daughter, Amy and fiancé, Mike Cataldo; son, Derick and daughter-in-law, Tiffany and grandson Colin. She also leaves her brother, Jim and sister-in-law, Arlene; brother, John; mother-in-law, Sue and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends too numerous to mention. Each she so dearly loved.
Janice was preceded in death by her Father, Mother and Uncle Pres.
The family will receive friends from 9 am until the service time at 10 am Monday, March 30, 2009 at the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Oreana. Memorial gifts may be made to Salem Baptist Church or the Janice P. Fisher Memorial Fund.
Special “Thank You” to: Dr. Goetter, his staff and the girls in the office as well as Dr. Esparaz and the people of Cancer Care Specialist of Central Illinois.
The family of Janice P. Fisher is being served by the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home/Veterans Funeral Care, 2801 N. Monroe St. Decatur.
