Jean O. Thompson's Obituary
Decatur- Jean O. Thompson, 67, of Decatur passed away Sunday, August 14, 2011 at her home with her family by her side.
A service to celebrate the life of Jean will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2011at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home Chapel with a visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. till the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Jean was born April 9, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Albert and Alfa Chavis Birdette. She was a member of the Dixmoor Community in Dixmoore, Illinois. Jean was a loving mother and caring grandmother and will be greatly missed by everyone.
Jean is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Parker of Dallas, TX; Jerrylynn Parker also of Dallas, Bianca Browning of Decatur, Yolanda Plato of Decatur, and Shana Cook also of Decatur, sister; Dorothy Mack of Decatur, fourteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and family and friends.
She was greeted into Heaven by her parents, brothers; Albert Birdette; and Jackie Robinson, sister; Theatrus Fraziar, and niece Nedra Mack.
The family would like to thank Dr. Motwani and Dr. Jeff Smith and DMH Hospice especially Debbie and Angie for all the kindness and caring that the showed to Jean and her family.
