Jeanette Brennan 64 of Decatur died Sunday, September 3, 2006 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services celebrating Jeanette's life will be 11:00 AM Friday, September 8, 2006 in St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to

Jeanette Brennan was born in Mt. Morris, Michigan on May 2, 1942, the daughter of Jim and Connie Burrows. Jeanette was the oldest and role model of four siblings. She received a Bachelors Degree in Education from Millikin University and a Masters Degree in Special Education from Illinois State University. One of her greatest joys in life was showing her students love and compassion throughout her 35 year teaching career. In her retirement she returned to teach part-time at Muffley School. She was the president of Beta Sigma chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International Organization of Women Educators from 1994 to 1996. Jeanette's sense of adventure lead to many special trips; whether it was nearby for an evening out with the friends, across country to see something she read about in a magazine, or around the world. Jeanette enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church with her husband. She married Terry Brennan in Mt. Zion on July 10, 1999.
She is survived by her parents, Jim and Connie Burrows, her husband, Terry Brennan, all of Decatur, her son, Michael Dondeville of Atlanta GA, daughter, Michele Galen Galloway of Chicago, stepson, Chris Karen Brennan of Chicago, stepdaughter, Megan Tracy Pendleton of St. Peters, MO, brother Jimmy Nancy Burrows of Lakewood, CO, and sisters: Debby Wilcox of Decatur and Becky Ted Kaatmann of St. Charles, MO. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Derek Dondeville, Ryan, Natalie, Jennifer and Kameron Galloway, Cole and Griffin Brennan and Paige and Trent Pendleton. She was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. Her family and many friends will miss her very much.
