Jeanette J. Hoff's Obituary
Decatur – Jeanette Hoff, 87, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023, in her home surrounded by her family.
Jeanette was born February 05, 1936, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of David T. and Maude P. (Scammahorn) Clendenen. A member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Jeanette worked for many years at Walgreens, Kohls, and Cracker Barrel. She also managed the Avon Theatre and worked at the Book Emporium. She enjoyed playing the slot machines. Jeanette married Ronald Hoff in December of 1971 and he preceded her in death in April of 2001. Also preceding her in death were her parents, 2 sisters, 2 brothers, and one son-in-law Jeff Krall.
Surviving is her daughter, Connie Krall of Decatur; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; sister Linda (Ron) Price of Decatur, and brother Joe Clendenen of Decatur; special friend, Steve Haney of Decatur; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, September 22, 2023, from 12pm until the service time of 1pm at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Point Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or an animal shelter of your choice.
