Jeanette Mae Seitz's Obituary
Jeanette Mae (Smith) Seitz, 93, of Decatur, IL, passed away on Sunday (04-28-2024) at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Jeanette was born on July 22, 1930, in Ashmore, IL, the daughter of Guy Mack Smith and Leona Mae (Walters) Smith. She married James E. Seitz on December 22, 1946, in Illinois. He preceded her in death in March of 2001.
She was a Licensed Practical Nurse. Jeanette also enjoyed sewing and sewed for many years.
Jeanette is survived by her children: Michael E. Seitz of Decatur, IL, and Sally Jo Barger and husband Kenneth of Blue Mound, IL.; six grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters, one grandchild, three brothers and three sisters.
A Service for Jeanette will be held at a later date. The burial will be in North Fork Cemetery.
