Even though I hadn't seen Jeff since the early 80's when he was at Coop Record and Tapes, hearing of his passing immediately saddened me. Reading a couple other posts highlighted my memory of Jeff as being a kind-hearted soul. He was a couple years older than me but we had 2 common interests; tennis and music. I knew Jeff best when he owned his VW Beetle and was still in HS...I believe. We played tennis together at Garfield Park and we would listen to Genesis in his VW. I looked up to him since he was older, but he treated me as a peer. Going to Angelo's restaurant for pizza with him was a fond memory, since as a kid, I rarely ate out. So sad to know he is no longer with us...sadder I never reconnected with him. God Bless his family.
Sending caring thoughts to Jeff's family. I worked with Jeff for many years. He was a very empathetic and warm soul who helped many people with their substance use disorders. I will keep his memory in my heart.
I love Jeff! We did so many fun things together. The 1rst Farm Aid, Mable's,to see lots of diff bands, David Copperfield show, going out to eat, & we shared our music, with each other for yrs. I am in shock, to learn of his passing. He was one of the best guy I've ever known. He was truly loved & he will be tremendously missed! I love you my dear frd!
