I lived across the street from the Hoeltings from 1956-1968. Jill and Ann played with me and my sister Jerri. We had lots of fun, but I remember their father as a hard working parent. Mr. Hoelting was always nice to us as we were probably in his way all day.
My heart felt sympathy to Jill and Ann.

Condolences to Jill and family. He was like a second father to me and Brad was the big brother I never had. John was as strong as the Rock of Gibraltar and had the constitution of an ox. As always, Scott and Betty Simpson.

A memory I have of Jerald and Brad and Ronnie. As my family lived next to door to the warehouse on Market Street in Taylorville. My brothers worked for him as I was growing up and I would go over and visit with them. He would send me home with fruit of some sort. He really stood by my family as I was in a bike/car accident in 1975. And he would take time to come to the hospital a drop in to say hi. He was a wonderful man no matter where he would see me He always would be sure to say tell the Walker's hello and give them my love.

The Jim and Linda Blakley and Family was saddened to learn that Jerald had passed. He was a really special person that always had a smile on his face and made everyone feel important. Hoelting Produce was the place to hang out after work or Saturday morning. I remember Bill Fentress cooking on Saturday morning for the crew. I stopped by one morning and he had baked sweet potatoes and wanted me to try one; it was fantastic and I have loved them every since. He was Uncle Jerald to the kids when they were young and they always enjoyed it when he was around. He shared the Hoelting family Apple Cake with me years ago; I am sure it does not taste like the one his mother made.
The world is a much lesser place with the loss a Jerry. I loved him very much. i hope you and the good lord gets to share a game of blackjack. you truly will be missed.
