Jermaine Jones' Obituary
Jermaine Jones, 42, of Decatur, went to be with Jesus Monday, January 9, 2017, at Decatur Memorial Hospital with his family by his side.
Jermaine was born May 13, 1974, in Chicago Heights, IL, to Jessie and Brenetter (Jones) Jones. He accepted Christ at an early age at Coles Temple church in Chicago Heights, IL. He graduated from Bloomtrail High School in Chicago Heights. He proudly served in the United States Army. He married Nicole Jeanne Lowe on May 17, 2003 in Decatur, IL. He worked for Mervis Industries as a Crane Operator. Jermaine loved cooking, fishing, grilling, having fun and for everyone around him to be smiling.
He leaves behind to cherish fond memories his wife Nicole; his three sons, Nicholas Rashad Lowe, Christopher Ahmad Lowe and Jerrad Hasan Lowe; his daughter, Gladys Brenetter Whitfield; his parents, Jessie Jones and Brenetter Jones ; mother-in-law, Kay F. Lowe and father-in-law, Melvin Lowe, Jr.; beloved granddaughter, Kyla Lynn Dial; his three brothers, Reginald (Kelly) Jones, Kenny (Melody) Jones and Victor (Kathy) Jones; five special nieces and seven special nephews.
Jermaine was reunited in Heaven with his grandparents.
Homegoing services to celebrate Jermaine’s life will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home with Pastor Byron P. Hansbro, officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery where full military honors will be conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. Memorials may be directed to the family.
