Jerry Lee Ellis' Obituary
Jerry Lee Ellis 51 of Decatur entered into eternal life on Saturday September 18, 2004 in his home surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Wednesday September 22, 2004 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday in the funeral Home. Jerry was born September 17, 1953 in Brownstown, IL to William and Mary Jane Ellis. He was a laborer with Local 159 until he became disabled. He married Patricia Pettyjohn on July 24, 1972.
He is survived by his mother, wife, children, Christopher of Charleston; Dianna of Danville; Jerry and wife Becky of Decatur; Jeffrey and wife Bambi of Decatur; Robyne of Decatur; Jeremy of Decatur; fifteen grandchildren; brothers, Keith, Delbert, Darrell, Larry, and Bobby all of Decatur; Ronnie of Alabama; sisters, Sharon of Warrensburg; Judy, Janice, Brenda, Betty, and Barbara all of Decatur.
He was preceded in death by his father, sister, and grandparents.
He was a very loving and wonderful husband and father to his family, and adored his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. He is now at peace with God with no more pain. Though his presence is not seen, it is felt in our hearts and will be always.
The family would like to thank the staff of DMH Hospice for all their care and thoughtfulness.
