Jess Thomas "Pat" Patterson Jr. 81 of Decatur died Tuesday April 19, 2005 in his home.

Pat was born on October 4, 1923 in Ogden, KS the son of Jess and Rosa Hatfield Patterson. He was a fifty-year member of Local 65 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union. He served his country during WWII in the US Army. He married Thelma Hawk in July 17, 1942 in Joplin, MO she preceded him in death in October 24, 1993.
He is survived by his daughter, Carla Dempsey Skip of Decatur; son, Steven T. Patterson Amy of Newport News, VA; brothers Bob Patterson Betty of Sweetwater, TX; Clovis Patterson Loretta of Henderson, TX; sisters, Jodelle Patterson of Wimberley, TX; Kay Schroeder Max of Corpus Christi, TX; Grandchildren, Shawn Dempsey of Decatur; Patrick Dempsey Teresa Mc Knight of Moweaqua; Melissa Duff Craig of Maroa; Claire Patterson of Edwardsville; Jenny Patterson of Lebanon; Jillna Paterson of Newport News, VA; great-grandchildren, Drake, Justin, Halee, Jaret, Blane, Riley, Shawn, Winston, and Kendra.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters, Wanda and Betty, and a brother, Meldon.
