Jesse Lee Hunt's Obituary
Jesse Lee Hunt, 82, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away February 1, 2026.
Jesse was born in Crofton, Kentucky, on March 12, 1943, the son of Rex Lee and Ruby Eren (Boyd) Hunt. He married Phyllis Sheets on December 21, 1963, in Decatur. They enjoyed over 60 years of married life until her death in 2025. Jesse worked for a short time in a strip mine in Kentucky and then moved to Decatur, where he managed a Steak and Shake for a brief time. He later became a truck driver for Aramark, a position he held for 40 years until retirement.
Jesse is survived by his sister Lettie Eren Johnson and grandchildren Ashley Hunt, Alex Hunt, and Adam Hunt. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and brothers William Rex Hunt, Thomas Ray Hunt, Edward Neil Hunt, and Joseph Wayne Hunt.
