Jessie Mae Boston 93 of Decatur went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday December 08, 2004 at 10:10 am in her home surrounded by family and friends.
Homegoing services will be 12 noon Monday December 13, 2004 in New Salem Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Samuel Hale and Rev. Tyrone Oldham officiating, where visitation will be one hour before services in the church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Jessie Mae was born January 12, 1911 in Tunica, MS the daughter of Riley William and Ollie Mae Ludie McKinney. She married Oliver Boston in Saint Louis in 1948, he preceded her in death in 1997. She was a lifetime member of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church, was a member of the choir for over 50 years and served as president for the choir for 25 years.
Jessie Mae leaves behind to cherish fond memories her son, Robert Boston, Sr. and wife Irene of Decatur, her daughter; Zetta M. Page of Decatur, eight grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 42 great-great grandchildren, one great -great-great-great grandchild and a host of other family members.
Jessie Mae was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother, one great grandson.
