Jimmy J. Landers' Obituary
Jimmy J. Landers, 89, of Forsyth formerly of Decatur, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Hickory Point Christian Home.
Jimmy was born June 4, 1922 in Sullivan, son of James R. and Etta May Vandever Landers. A member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Jimmy worked as a sales consultant for Buick Motors. He married Betty Ann Waddell September 17, 1964 in Elkhart.
Surviving is his wife of 47 plus years, Betty of Decatur; nephew, Jack Landers; nieces: Lynda Mayberry, Janet Freeman and Gail Plotner; along with many other relatives and friends.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Guy and Lynn and sister, Alice Williby.
Funeral Liturgy celebrating his life will be 2 pm, Wednesday, March 28, 2012 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home, Rev. Richard Weltin officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 pm, Wednesday until the service time. Burial will follow in Mt. Pulaski Cemetery, Mt. Pulaski. Memorials may be made to: Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church or American Diabetes Association.
