John Albert Beasley's Obituary
John Albert Beasley, 77, of Decatur, departed this life on September 30, 2007 at his home.
John was born January 25, 1930, in Marianna, AR, the son of Ford and Elizabeth Beasley. He married Willie Mae Harris May 22, 1947. Seven children were blessed to this union. John worked as a molder at Wagner Casting CO. for 42 years. He had a great sense of humor and was an active member of New Salem Baptist Church.
Surviving is his wife of 6o years, Willie Mae; sons: Larry Beasley of Vacaville, California, Terry Kay Beasley of Beaumont, TX, and Anthony Beasley of St. Louis, MO; daughters: Julia Maddox, Patricia West and Jocelyn Richard Hubbartt of Decatur; brothers: Ford Beasley, Jr of Gary, IN, Andrew David "A.D." Ethel Beasley of Danville, and Baye Ruth Beasley of Gary, IN; sisters: Vivian Rev. Spencer Brown of Marianna, AR, Betty Ruth Brown of Dallas, TX; in-laws: Marjorie Beasley, Lydia Harris, Mary Harris-Phillips, Marie Oliver and Louise Hood all of Decatur, Smith Maxine Harris of Arlington, TX, and cousin, Bishop Calvin Martha Jo Peppers of Decatur
John was preceded in death by his parents, one son, one brother, two sisters and a son-in-law.
He will be missed by grandchildren, great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Homegoing celebration will be 11 am Saturday, October 6, 2007 at New Salem Baptist Church, 1415 N. Edward St. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Macon County Memorial Park.
